The 2026 Torrance Lunar New Year Festival is a vibrant outdoor celebration of Asian culture, food, and family fun, open to everyone!
Hosted by the South Bay Chinese American Association of California USA, the 2026 Festival welcomes the community to celebrate the Year of the Horse at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.
Enjoy lion and dragon dances experience, multicultural performances, delicious food, arts and crafts, and a festive marketplace filled with family activities.
💡 This is a free, daytime outdoor event. The afternoon 22nd Chinese American Lunar New Year Show at Armstrong Theatre is a separate ticketed performance.

Step into the spirit of Lunar New Year! Kids can join hands-on mini workshops to learn simple drum beats, ribbon dancing, and how to move together as a small lion or dragon team, an unforgettable way to feel the rhythm and excitement of the celebration.

Follow the aroma and taste the joy of the festival! Explore a variety of sizzling Asian street snacks and treats, featuring favorites like grilled skewers and other authentic bites that capture the festive flavor of the New Year.

Experience the art of Chinese calligraphy. Try your hand at writing meaningful characters such as “福” (fortune) and “春” (spring) under the guidance of calligraphy artists, a beautiful tradition that brings good luck for the year ahead.
